Hannah Montana star and teen idol, Miley Cyrus, shook the core of the tween role model universe,when fans saw leaked pictures circulating on the internet, of her and a girlfriend frolicking in a hotel room. The 15-year-old pop starlet told Z100 New York on friday before her sold-out, ‘Best of Both Worlds’, concert that the pictures were “nothing bad.” She tried to deny the controversy and said the following about the photos being leaked:
“At first, I was really upset. It really sucks,” said the Hannah Montana star, who at one point exclaimed, “Look at me getting all upset! “It’s not something I’m going to let slide,” she said. “I’m really upset about it, ’cause it was, like, not even a big deal.”
She identified the girl in the pics as a close friend and said they were both behaving innocently. Miley explained that although she’s used to the spotlight her friend isn’t and she’s being teased at school.
“This girl doesn’t even have to deal with that, and it’s so hard,” said
Cyrus. [Now] she has to go to school and deal with this crap.” “It’s two girls at a sleepover, and if all of a sudden that’s bad, then what is the world coming to?“[SOURCE]
Let’s see what the world is coming to shall we? Fellow Disney idol and High School Musical (HSM) star Vanessa Hudgens also posed in similar pictures with her girlfriend and was later embroiled in a nude full frontal photo scandal, when explicit photos she shot for her HSM co-star & boyfriend teen heartthrob, Zac Efron, surfaced on the net.
The National Enquirer was the first publication to report the photo’s existence. TMZ.com later confirmed that the photos were real through Hudgen’s rep. A source close to People Magazine told them that the High School Musical actress once sent risqué photos of herself to Nickelodeon star Drake Bell.
In a statement Hudgens apologized for the pictures and says she was “embarrassed over the situation and regret[s] having ever taken these photos.”
The pictures, including one nude photo, surfaced
on the Web prompting her rep to issue a statement saying that
the shot “was taken privately. It is a personal matter and it is
unfortunate that this has become public.”
After the scandal broke, rumors lingered that Vanessa would not be included in a new HSM installment. But the Disney Channel continued their negotiations with the High School Musical cast, including Hudgens, who they decided to keep on board for the third installment of the movie series.
“Vanessa has apologized for what was obviously a lapse in judgment,”
Disney said in a statement. “We hope she’s learned a valuable lesson.” [SOURCE]
But we can’t forget the recent shocking news from teen idol land that,Jamie Lynn Spears, the younger 16 year-old sister of Britney Spears and star of the hit Nickelodeon show ‘Zoey 101′ was pregnant. She told OK! Magazine that Casey Aldrige was the father and she was keeping the baby. Nickelodeon issued the following statement and still has yet to announce the fate of her show:
“We respect
Jamie Lynn’s decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and
personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and
her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn’s well
being.”
Different stories were circulating in the blogosphere about the baby’s father. He was said to be Casey, an 18 year-old-pipe layer. The rumors continued once blogs got the news that the New York Daily News reported Jamie Lynn Spears was dating fellow Nickelodeon star rapper Lil’ Romeo. (pictured below)
Then everyone believed he was the real baby daddy. This was turning into an episode of the Maury Povich Show. Can someone get us a D.N.A test quick so we can find out who is the baby’s daddy? But the story doesn’t end there because **GASP** it was later revealed that the father of the baby is an older executive at Nickelodeon. The older man is believed to be involved in setting Casey Aldrige up to be the fall guy because Casey is only 2 years older than Jamie Lynn Spears and would not face criminal statutory rape charges if he was fingered as being the father of the baby. Whew! That’s a mouthful. According to media reports, her big sister, Britney Spears is unhappy about her sister’s pregnancy.
“I’m really disappointed in her. I told her over and
over just to be a kid and let the adult things like sex and drinking and all
that wait,” Spears told People. “I just can’t believe she’s pregnant,” she added.
“She’s way too young to be a mom. She should be having fun and stuff, not having
a baby.”
