ANN CURRY FLIRTS WITH BRAD PITT TOUCHES HIS FACE IN CANNES WHILE PROMOTING INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS0 comments

Veteran Today show and Dateline news anchor Anne Curry must have caught Cannes fever because she turned into a giggly mess during her interview with heartthrob Brad Pitt.

Brad Pitt was noticeably uncomfortable and focusing on promoting hisfilm “Inglourious Basterds” directed by Quentin Tarantino. Good thing Angie flew into France to look after her man. Anne Curry might lose her exclusive Brangelina interview status after her shameless display in Cannes.

Brad Pitt apparently turns even a veteran reporter into a giggling school girl.

“Today” Show anchor Ann Curry couldn’t keep her hands off the Hollywood hunk during an interview at the Cannes Film Festival, where Pitt is promoting his latest film, “Inglourious Basterds.”

Curry, who has anchored NBC’s “Dateline” and “Nightly News,” playfully patted the actor on his chest and even grabbed his chin during the 7-minute interview, which aired Wednesday morning.

“Women who watch the ‘Today’ show are really envious of me right now because I get to stand here in Cannes talking to you,” Curry said to the actor before asking him if he had anything to say to those said adoring female fans.

But Pitt didn’t seem quite as comfortable with focusing on his sex symbol status, attempting to redirect the conversation back to his film.

“Look, he’s blushing,” Curry says to the camera, before getting back to the film business.

Pitt plays a “tough hillbilly from Tennesse” leading a guerrilla unit of Jewish soldiers in Quentin Tarantino’s World War II film, “Inglourious Basterds.”

Even though the actor has yet to see the film, he admits that it’s “outrageous” in typical Tarantino style. And yes, that means violent as well, similar to Tarantino’s “Pulp Fiction,” which won the festival’s top honor, the Palm d’Or in 1994.

Curry, who had just come from the screening, assures Pitt that he is “genuine” and “very good” in the film – and also sneaks in a chest pat (while giggling) that of course he couldn’t answer her question because he hasn’t seen the film.

But what will Pitt’s other half think of the on-camera flirtation? Angelina Jolie arrived in Cannes Tuesday after spending the day at The Hague in Netherlands attending a war crimes trial.
