JANET JACKSON “I’LL TAKE THE KIDS” OFFERS TO RAISE MICHAEL JACKSON’S CHILDREN PARIS, PRINCE MICHAEL AND BLANKET0 comments

There are reports that Janet Jackson has offered to raise Michael Jackson’s three orphaned children.  Janet has bonded with the children and has become their mother figure. There have been unconfirmed rumors for years that Janet Jackon has a secret daughter named Renee who was raised by her sister Rebbie.  The world witnessed Janet’s maternal instincts when she comforted her niece Paris Jackson while Paris cried for her father at the Jackson Memorial.

As Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris paid her tearful tribute at his memorial it was Auntie Janet who laid a caring arm around her shoulder and whispered encouragement.

And in the three weeks since Jacko’s death, Paris and her brothers Prince and Blanket have repeatedly turned to Janet for love and cuddles.

So family friends say it is no surprise the 43-year-old singer has now decided she will raise her big brother’s children. One added: “Janet has completely bonded with those children in the last weeks.

“She has been their rock. It’s clear to everyone that they are looking to her for comfort and guidance.”

The friend told OK! magazine there was no doubt the children wanted their aunt to look after them, adding: “They just melt in her arms when she walks into the house.

“All three want Janet to read to them at night.”

Janet is also seen as the perfect stand-in parent because, like Michael, she will ensure the children are kept out of the public eye as far as possible. The friend said: “Janet knows the value of a private life out of the news.

“She is determined to do that for Michael’s children. She is saying he would want no less for them. Janet is the backbone of the family.”  [source]

In his will, Jacko said he wanted 79-year-old Katherine to bring up the children. But it is feared she is now to old to cope with three energetic youngsters. Janet is said to have volunteered after telling other family members: “I’ll raise them if this is what they want.”

As the star-studded tribute to the King of Pop concluded, Michael Jackson’s own children, Prince Michael, 12, Paris Katherine, 11, and Prince Michael II (Blanket), 7, took the stage during a group performance of “Heal the World.”

After the song, Paris gave an impromptu speech from the stage surrounded by the Jackson family.

“I just want to say ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you can ever imagine,” she said through tears. “And I just want to say I love him so much.”

Her aunt Janet Jackson then took her into her arms for a hug before the entire Jackson family then left the stage, closing the service that lasted more than two hours.

JANET JACKSON has offered to help raise her brother MICHAEL’s young children, who look to their aunt as a “mother figure”, according to new reports.
Janet, 43, is said to have been helping her mother Katherine look after Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11, and seven-year-old Prince Michael II aka Blanket, since the sudden death of their father last month (Jun09). And the pop star has allegedly offered to take in the youngsters if their elderly grandmother, 79, is unable to do so.
A source tells Britain’s The Sun, “Janet has said, ‘I love them and I’ll step forward and raise them if this is what they want.’ She tells everyone she loves them as if they were her own. “The children have chosen her as their confidante and mother figure, and Janet feels her place is at their side. She’s completely bonded with those children in the last two weeks. “It’s clear to everyone that they are looking to her for comfort and guidance. Janet is blossoming as a woman with tremendous maternal instincts.”
Katherine Jackson was awarded temporary guardianship of the children pending a custody hearing later this month (Jul09) that the two older children’s biological mother, Debbie Rowe, is expected to attend.Jackson’s will, which was filed in 2002, stipulates he wanted his mother to have custody of the children in the event of his death, and names singer Diana Ross as his second-choice guardian.
