Comic book fans can rejoice at the news that Ryan Reynolds has been cast as the Green Lantern. Scarlett Johansson’s hot hubby beat out most of young male Hollywood to land the role.
Reynolds is not a stranger to comic book adaptations. He has played two characters from Marvel Comics–vampire hunter Hannibal King in Blade: Trinity and, more recently, Wade Wilson/Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine–and was often rumored to be interested in playing Wally West/The Flash, another DC Comics character and the teammate of

After an intense months-long search, Warner Bros. has chosen Ryan Reynolds to play the title character in “Green Lantern,” the studio’s live-action movie based on the DC Comics hero. Reynolds and his representatives entered negotiations for the part Friday, after the studio held two rounds of screen tests for the actor, Bradley Cooper and Jared Leto. Justin Timberlake also did a screen test. [SOURCE]
