Chris Brown made his big comeback return to the stage last night during the Powerhouse concert in New Jersey. MTV caught up with Chris Brown during his rehearsals for the big show.

The fans screamed and didn’t seem to mind that Chris Brown has been on probation from beating the shiz out of Rihanna.
Chris was joined at the concert by Mario, Trey Songz, Day 26 and Keri Hilson who posted a Tweet on Twitter about Chris Brown’s big comeback.

Chris Brown’s return to the stage last night at the Izod Center was more like a pep rally than a performance, with loyal fans and fellow artists rooting him on.
Brown, who headlined Power 105.1’s Powerhouse ‘09 concert, took to the stage in red and black leather, reminiscent of the Michael Jackson’s outfit in the “Thriller” video, reports MTV. It was Brown’s first performance since assaulting then girlfriend Rihanna just before the Grammy Awards last February, and, as far as the crowd was concerned, it was a welcome comeback.
After opening acts The-Dream, Fabolous, Day26, Trey Songz, Keri Hilson and Mario performed, Brown took to the stage for a steady 45 minutes, during which he showed off some fresh dance moves and sang about his newfound maturity. “The young boy now is 20,” he sang during “Gimme That.”
The night was not without its fair share of heartfelt messages, as Brown promised the crowd that he would try to be “a better man.” And after performing the hit single “No Air,” he said, “Despite my past and stuff like that, I appreciate all of y’all.”
Many of the opening acts stuck around during Brown’s performance, dancing on the wings of the stage. After the show, singer Omarion, who had made a guest appearance, told MTV that Brown chose the perfect time for a comeback.
