Rihanna appeared on 20/20 with Diane Sawyer and gave an honest disturbing account of what occurred during her brutal assault from Chris Brown. Chris Brown lied on Larry King when he pretended not to recall the details of the incident and his mama is an enabler for covering up Chris Brown’s abusive ways. Chris Brown will not be a “Changed Man” we don’t care what the words in his song say because he is more sorry that his career was changed after everyone learned he was an abuser.
We respect Rihanna for having the strength to tell the truth and the vision to see that her decision to return to Chris “Beatdown” Brown was clouded by her love for him.

We don’t think it was appropriate for Diane Sawyer to ask Rihanna if she saw Chris Brown’s youtube apology video or heard his “Changed Man” love song. We also don’t think it was fair for Sawyer to ask Rihanna what she did to deserve almost getting killed by Chris Brown. Chris left Rihanna bloody, bitten and battered. Rihanna did admit to other violent incidents with Chris Brown.
Rihanna is still dealing with the mental wounds from the Chris Brown attack and is in a vulnerable state. Rihanna also realized that her relationship with Chris Brown was dangerous because she repeated a vicious cycle and fell in love with a man who was similar to her father.

Chris Brown has still not shown any true remorse in this situation. Breezy is issuing apologies but all of them are pr statements and words off of a teleprompter. Rihanna was the victim that night and will always remain the abused person after this incident. It’s pretty disturbing how Chris Brown has this sense of entitlement and still feels his community service was sufficient punishment to fit the crime he committed. Chris could have killed Rihanna when he was in his fit of rage. Chris Brown released the following pathetic non-apologetic statement to MTV about Rihanna telling the truth to Diane Sawyer.
While I respect Rihanna’s right to discuss the specific events of February 8, I maintain my position that all of the details should remain a private matter between us. I do appreciate her support and wish her the best. I am extremely sorry for what I did, and I accept accountability for my actions. At this point, I am taking the proper steps to learn about me and grow from my mistakes. I only hope that others in similar situations can learn from our experience as well. Abuse of any kind is always wrong. The rest I leave it to God.
