The three remaining members of G-Unit 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo stopped by MTV TRL and held a concert at the Nokia theater to promote their new album Terminate On Sight. Click here to read our Binside TV G-Unit T.O.S. Album review if you missed it.
50 Cent is now saying there isn’t any beef between him and T.I. The rapper had some lyrics in his song "You So Tough" which sound like he was taking a swipe at T.I. who was arrested for illegal weapons possession but beat jail time and got community serve. Fiddy didn’t say T.I.’s name but the general consensus by hip-hop fans, journalists and bloggers is that 50 Cent took a jab at the King of the South on the G-Unit’s album cut "You So Tough."
We attended the G-Unit album listening session and are hitting you with an album review like we promised.
Hardcore and for the streets is the best way to describe the new G-Unit album, Terminate On Sight (T.O.S). Once again, 50 Cent holds rank as the general while Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo are faithful G-Unit soldiers to the end. Young Buck, although not appearing on the album cover artwork, manages to shine on a few cuts.
There’s no doubt that Banks and 50 hold their own in the mixtape arena. That has already been proven, but surprisingly Banks sounds hungry as ever on this album. He’s a beast with an air-tight flow and metaphors for days. We’ve gotta give it to the lispy and lyrical Banks who did his thing on just about every verse. He really makes the album.
So, what else does T.O.S offer up other than the heavy-hitting singles, "I Like The Way She Do It" and "Rider Part 2"? Well, there’s nothing soft and no finger snappin’, that’s for sure, but you’ll still be movin’ to the raw and hardcore New York raps. This album takes the gritty underground sound of the mixtape game and brings it to the surface for the mainstream.
A perfect example is the opening cut, "Straight Outta Southside," which is dedicated to Sean Bell. It’s a modern day East coast take on the left coast hood-classic "Straight Outta Compton" by NWA. While it doesn’t play out quite like you’d expect a memorial would, you won’t be disappointed. The production by Ron Browz is so strong and energetic that this jam could start a riot. Between the hard drum beat and rhymes, this song is a serious problem!
The Binside Fave 5
1. "Close To Me" – flossy, bossy thug love for the club/car
2. "Straight Outta Southside" – raw raps, high energy straight hood banger
3. "You So Tough" – melodic, slick talking anthem
4. "Party Aint Over" – club/car
5. "Get Down" – club/car banger
We liked "Close To Me" alot. The fellas master the subject matter of chicks and whips with a touch of cockiness and finesse like true bosses on this track. This is a G-Unit all-star show where 50 Cent is hot on the hook with his melodic flow, Banks is in full effect and kills this song, and Yayo is on point. This is a hot song that we expect to be hearing a lot of.
The only guest appearance comes from Mavado who drops in for a feature on "Let It Go." Mavado brings his rude-boy chat and is refreshing on the chorus. The two styles of Rap and Dancehall blend well together. This song, produced by Don Cannon, is tough!
The formula of working with young and up-and-coming production talent has worked well for super-group in the past and they continue to run with it on this new project. While the production stands strong, it lacks a wide variety but definitely has that G-Unit mass appeal.
This is the first time that G-Unit teamed up with Swizz Beatz on "Get Down" which is one of the stand out tracks on the album. We’re lovin’ the hook on this song, it’s really catchy. This is a club/car banger that we know folks are gonna be stuntin’ hard to this summer. 50 Cent kills it with his melodic flow while Banks‘ verse is real strong on this song.
We can already tell that this is going to be a G-Unit summer. This album is right on time with plenty of tunes that knock. Overall, Terminate On Sight is a decent CD that continues where Beg For Mercy left off almost five years ago with more hard hitting, gangsta lyrics but nothing that’s groundbreaking. For diehard 50 Cent & G-Unit fans, this album is a winner. Cop the G-Unit Terminate On Sight album when it drops on stores July 1st!

50 CENT TALKS ABOUT HIS BABY MAMA SHANIQUA TOMPKINS AND YOUNG BUCK CRYINGLISTEN TO 50 CENT ON HOT 97 WITH ANGIE MARTINEZ
Rapper 50 Cent spoke to Angie Martinez on Hot 97 to clear up all the rumors. 50 Cent spoke about leaking the Young Buck crying leaked phone conversation, his rumored secret marriage to Ciara, the Taco Bell name change scam and rapper Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter III selling over a million copies in the first week. Fiddy didn’t talk about his baby mama lawsuit with Shaniqua Tompkins or how he felt about being ordered by the judge to turn over his handguns. 50 Cent also didn’t mention The Game G-Unit diss song in response to The Taped Conversation called the Tape Convo. This is stuff we want to know and hear about. Listen to the leaked Young Buck crying phone conversation below that started the beef.
50 CENT ON HOT 97 WITH ANGIE MARTINEZ INTERVIEW TALKS ABOUT YOUNG BUCK CRYING LEAKED CONVERSATION, LIL WAYNE, TACO BELL 79 CENT NAME CHANGE SCAM AND MARRIAGE TO CIARAWould rapper 50 cent sound as sweet by any other name? Taco Bell seems to think so!
The fast food chain has challenged the rapper to change his name from 50–to 79, 89, or 99 Cent in connection with its new "Why Pay More" value menu for one day this summer.
Also part of the deal– "Fiddy" (a.k.a. Curtis Jackson) must stop by any Taco Bell restaurant of his choosing and rap his order at the drive-thru using his new moniker.
If he completes his mission, Taco Bell has vowed to donate $10,000 to a charity of the rapper’s choice. In addition, it will feed all of the guests at the Taco Bell location that 50 Cent ends up choosing.
In a letter to 50 Cent obtained on Wednesday by OK!, Taco Bell President and CEO Greg Creed writes, "We know that you adopted the name 50 Cent years ago as a metaphor for change. We at Taco Bell are also huge advocates for change… We encourage you to ‘Think Outside the Bun’ and hope you accept our offer." source
LISTEN TO THE GAME TAPED CONV G-UNIT DISS
Former G-Unit member the Game just released his own version of the Young Buck Taped Conversation called "The Taped Convo". The Game raps over Young Buck’s track and takes aim at 50 Cent accusing him of setting the fire that almost killed Fiddy’s baby mama Shaniqua and his son. He also says Tony Yayo can’t rap and calls 50 Cent out for taping and leaking the audio tape conversation with Young Buck crying. We don’t know what’s going to happen with this beef in the next round. We just hope it stays on wax and doesn’t get too heated.
YOUNG BUCK TAPED CONVERSATION
G-Unit member Young Buck caused some beef when he said he was angry because 50 Cent owed him money and then he said F*ck G Unit at an on stage performance. After 50 Cent got the news about Young Buck’s diss he released a year old phone call with Young Buck crying like a girl and begging him to be a member of G-Unit again.
Listen to the phone call and Young Buck’s reponse diss song to 50 Cent called "Taped Conversation." Young Buck’s manager spoke to Allhiphop.com and said that the Young Buck phone call is fake and doctored.
