The MTV Britney Spears For the Record Documentary aired on November 30th. The special was an attempt to clean up Britney’s tarnished image after her very public nervous breakdown which culminated in trips to rehab and mental facilities. Britney looks better physically but her jittery mannerisms and awkward explanations for crazy moments like her head shaving debacle show that Brit is still not 100% okay. UPDATED.

OK! Magazine reportedly paid Britney Spears a million dollars to do a follow-up pictorial on the troubled pop star. Britney says she wants her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James to have a "normal childhood" and  stay out of show business. Britney also talks about her shock when hearing about her younger sister’s pregnancy and making a career comeback after her disasterous MTV VMAS performance. OK! Magazine paid $1 million dollars for Jamie Lynne Spears’ pregnancy cover story.

Jamie Spears also told OK! he
hopes to end his conservatorship over Spears’ affairs by the end of the
year and expects her to be sharing child custody with Federline 50/50
in a few months.

"I
think it is more urban," she said. "I’m writing every day, right here

Widely
panned for her glazed-over performance at last year’s MTV Video Music
Awards, Spears is in negotiations with MTV to make an appearance at the
Sept. 7 ceremony, a spokesperson for MTV said Tuesday. While the network said nothing is finalized, Spears already is appearing in promotional ads for the telecast. source

Having spent her young life in the spotlight, the 26-year-old mother of two tells OK!
that she hopes her boys choose not to choose a career in entertainment.
"I’d love them unconditionally if they wanted to," she explains. "I’d
just as soon they have a more normal childhood.

Perhaps some of
Britney’s reluctance comes from seeing her little sister, Jamie Lynn
Spears, have to face so much public scrutiny over her recent pregnancy.
"I was shocked a little bit," says Brit. "She’s always been the baby,
and now the baby was having a baby. It was mind-boggling."

The pop superstar also tells OK! that she wants her boys to be close to her newborn niece. "I’m sure the boys will be like big brothers to Maddie," she says. In an unexpected twist, Britney’s downward spiral in recent years
ultimately helped to heal the bonds between the singer and her parents,
Lynne and Jamie Spears.

"God has a way of taking something bad and turning it into something good," explains Jamie, who also spoke exclusively to OK!.
"If this hadn’t happened, I would never have been able to get back with
my daughter and have this relationship I have with these two little

Pop wreck Britney Spears and Russell Brand filmed some promo videos for the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards that make you go…huh… The pair talk to each other while a huge elephant is on the set in the background. MTV is really exploiting the Britney Spears meltdown at last year’s VMA’s and her mental hospital stunts to the hilt. Everyone is going to tune in to the VMA’s just to see what Britney Spears is going to do because her performance was so gosh darn awful last year. MTV is about to see rating nirvana. Britney Spears is not confirmed to attend the VMA’s but she has been nominated 17 times to encourage her to show up. Face it Britney hasn’t released a buzzworthy music video that wasn’t premiered by the paparazzo first on youtube in years. She will definitely be in the house because then she can increase her chances of winning something. Poor Britney was banned from major events this year like the Oscars because she was so dang crazy and unpredictable.

on Sept. 7, Spears’s promo appearance is a promising sign. The singer,
who has been nominated 17 times, has yet to walk away with a win and is

According to OK! Magazine Britney Spears has ended her custody battle against her ex-husband K-Fed. Click on the image to watch Kevin Federline’s attorney discuss the settlement of the Britney K-Fed custody case.

In an exclusive interview with OK!, Kevin’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan says both Britney and Kevin reached and signed off on a settlement in their custody case today.

Kaplan tells OK!,
"At about 8 p.m. PT, a final settlement in the Kevin Federline-Britney
Spears custody case was signed. All parties have agreed to the
following: Kevin will retain sole legal and physical custody of Sean
Preston and Jayden James. Britney will continue to have visitation
rights which may increase over time. The agreement will be presented to
the court in the morning for approval by the commissioner."

Kaplan adds, "Kevin is ecstatic and the boys are thriving." source

Miley Cyrus is speaking out about her Vanity Fair topless photoshoot scandal. Miley says the fallout was a good thing because the controversy makes her more human to her fans. The Hannah Montana creator had spoken out about the scandal and told the press to "leave Miley alone."

The Vanity Fair scandal got even bigger when Playboy founder Hugh Hefner offered Miley Cyrus a deal to pose for Playboy. Miley Cyrus is scheduled to host the 2008 Teen Choice Awards. She just released a "grown up" music video for her song 7 Things about a bad relationship.

The child star of Disney’s Hannah Montana franchise caused a furore when she was pictured apparently topless beneath a satin wrap.

However, in a new interview with Billboard magazine, the 15-year-old said: "I was embarrassed but also it’s like, every career thing that I do can’t be perfect, and sometimes my decisions are wrong.

"I think that just makes me even more relatable. I don’t think people will look at me any differently because they’re like, ‘You know what, I’m going to do stupid stuff too, and I’m going to make mistakes, and that’s fine.

"It still hurts when I think about it – but, you know what, it doesn’t mean that you can’t move on."

Indeed, Cyrus is now attempting to take her career in a more mature direction.

She has released a "grown up" new album, Breakout.

And she plans to call it quits on Hannah Montana by the time she turns 18. "It will wrap up eventually. I mean, I won’t be Hannah Montana by the time I’m 30. But we’ve only done two seasons, so we definitely want to work on that hopefully for another two years."

With her squeaky-clean image, Cyrus is held up as a role model to millions of young fans around the world.

She said: "It’s something I’ve been super-blessed with, that I’ve had the opportunity to spread the light. That doesn’t mean that I’m not going to make mistakes and do things that everyone’s going to be happy with, because there’s no such thing as perfection." source
