T.I. is making his comeback with a new single called, “I’m Back”.
The self proclaimed “King” is jumping back on the scene with a clothing line and a movie career. The track can be downloaded on T.I.P’s official website.
T.I. took to the Internet to debut his new single, the appropriately-titled banger “I’m Back.” Coming in the wake of his release from jail (and on the heels of fellow high-profile MC Lil Wayne’s incarceration), “I’m Back” proves that Tip barely missed a beat while he was behind bars.
Over a powerful bounce beat care of TrackSlayerz (the latest homegrown talent from Tip’s Grand Hustle label), the King of the South spits a breathless four minutes of fire, declaring “No matter what they doing, they don’t do it like me.” The track also shouts out to fellow MCs Wayne, Gucci Maine and Lil Boosie, all of whom are currently serving prison sentences. The track is currently available for download at T.I.’s official Web site.
During a conference call just a few hours before the song premiered, Tip talked about his upcoming album (which remains untitled for now) and hinted at the possibility of a tour once his sentence was complete and he was out of a halfway house. He also pledged that he would get right back to the business of being one of the hottest rappers in the game. “As long as there is air in my esophagus, champ, I’mma keep going,” he said. “Nothing is gonna stop that. Nothing short of a 12 gauge is gonna stop me from doing what I do, champ. I just wanna say thank y’all and we gonna keep moving on.”
Rapper Lil Wayne began serving his year long sentence for illegal gun possession at Riker’s Island.
Wayne’s father figure/mentor, Baby, also came to the courthouse to show his support.
The hip hop star has been documenting his life in a series called “The Road To Rikers”. Weezy also promises to remain productive behind bars because he has already shot more than 7 music videos. Keep your head up Weezy!

The rapper Lil Wayne made his final public appearance as a free man for at least the next eight months on Monday afternoon, greeted by a chaotic scene in front of a Manhattan courthouse. As his black sport utility vehicle pulled up to the curb, more than 100 fans and photographers swarmed. When he stepped out, the mob followed him all the way to the door of the courthouse, at 100 Centre Street, as cameras flashed. People shoved, tripped and tumbled, and court officers pushed them to the side to clear a path.
At the center of it all, Lil Wayne calmly walked toward the entrance, his head hanging and the hood of his coat pulled over it. Once at the door, he slipped through a narrow seam in the crowd, emerging as if stepping out of thick brush.
Court officers rushed him past everyone else standing in the security line. He stepped through the metal detector to the cheers of dozens of other people in the courthouse lobby, some lined up on a winding staircase between the first and second floors to catch a glimpse. The screams and applause echoed through the cavernous first floor.
Last October, Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Carter Jr., pleaded guilty to attempted possession of a weapon in connection with a gun that was found on his tour bus in 2007. In exchange for his plea, prosecutors asked for a one-year sentence.
The rapper, who also goes by the nickname Weezy, had been scheduled for sentencing twice before. The first time, the judge postponed the proceeding to allow him to get dental work. The second time, last Tuesday, a fire in the courthouse derailed it.
The buzz over the sentencing on Monday started hours before Lil Wayne showed his face. Photographers and obsessed fans began milling about the sidewalk early. As the courthouse lunch break was coming to an end, more people began gathering. About 2 p.m., two S.U.V.’s pulled up to the curb and people gave chase, sprinting recklessly into the street.
The vehicle with tinted windows that carried Lil Wayne sat for a moment as the crowd pressed around. Eventually, it pulled off to circle around the block. In the interim, Lil Wayne’s mentor, the rapper Birdman, entered the courthouse, as the crowd rushed him.
R&B sensation Jay Sean celebrated his chart topping success with a LA album release party for his debut “All Or Nothing.
The UK singer is breaking records as his single “Down” featuring Lil Wayne remained on the Billboard top 10. Jay Sean is the first British urban male artist to have a number one single in the states and the highest ranking Asian artist in Billboard history. Jay Sean is already receiving advice from Justin Timberlake and has celebrity fans like Leonardo DiCaprio. Hollyscoop was behind the scenes on the set of the “Do You Remember” music video.
Jay Sean collaborated with Sean Paul and Lil Jon on the catchy track, which is all about remembering the good times in your life. The three guys shot the New York City-inspired video on New York street at Paramount Studios last week.
“See, I’m a postive person, ya know?” Jay told Hollyscoop. “I like to make people happy. And for me, I wanted to do an anthem that when it drops in the club, it doesn’t matter what’s going on in your life, you wile out, you act stupid, you get together with your boys, with your girls, or whatever it is, and you remember the good times, and there’s always a reason to be happy.”
Jay, Sean, and Jon are all so different sounding, and we love how they came together! The video features a ton of dancers, who were at the shoot until 8am that morning! Talk about dedication.
Jay Sean spread the holiday joy by performing his hit Down during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade and has a new music video collaboration with Sean Paul and Lil Jon.
A singer-songwriter originally from England, Jay Sean dropped out of medical school to pursue his music career. While in England, he took the stage name “Jay Sean,” which is probably more marketable than his birth name of Kamaljit Singh Jhooti. He became known for working on projects fusing traditional Punjabi music and contemporary Pop and R&B (check out Dance With You) and has developed a following in many countries including India.
Jay Sean (Feat. Lil Jon & Sean Paul) – Do You Remember
Flanked by hype man Lil Jon and Jamaican rapper Sean Paul, Cash Money R&B pop star Jay Sean follows up his chart-topping U.S. debut single “Down,” with a “block party” video for “Do You Remember.”
“I love the idea of the street vibe,” Sean told MTV News on the video set last month. “Having folks together, out in the street at midnight. The video is all about having fun, having a party, enjoying yourself. So, we did the whole block-party thing!”
The video was shot in Los Angeles and features cameos from fellow Cash Money/ Young Money artists, Birdman and Tyga. Of course, having the King of Crunk and the purveyor of the imperial blaze on hand only served to further kick the party vibe up a notch.
“I can hype up milk,” Lil Jon bragged. “Gimme some milk, and I can hype it up. But Jay Sean is singing to these ladies right now! He’s making them dance with these uptempo records! Jay Sean has his own lane right now.”The sentiment was echoed by Sean Paul, who first connected with Jay Sean in September, on the red carpet of the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.
“Jay Sean got a hot song and I got a hot eight bars on it,” Sean Paul said. “He gave me fire, in the vein of ‘Down,’ so of course I had to step to it.”
The video for “Do You Remember” is the second to drop from Sean’s U.S. debut album, All or Nothing, which came out last week.
Check out the latest from Birthday singer Jeremih called “Raindrops”. Jeremih did a song for the strippers in the club and gave the pole dancers the spotlight in his video.
