MTV taped it’s final 2 hour episode of TRL after being on the air for 10 years. Former host Carson Daily returned to the once popular music video countdown show which was canceled due to low ratings. Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, P. Diddy, Snoop Dogg, Nelly, Ludacris, Hillary Duff, Taylor Swift and 50 Cent stopped by the final episode to remember the show and perform some of their hit songs.

"Folks who helped make TRL what is, whether that’s Justin, and his
guys in N’ Sync, the Backstreet Boys, Britney, Eminem – I think we
would love to see all of them here," Sirulnick told the AP.

"I’m going to miss TRL," rapper Eminem said in a statement.
"Where else will I be able to start feuds, defend my honor vigorously
and act like an angry teenager on national TV? Oh wait … The VMAs!" source

A constant victim of sagging ratings, the music video
countdown show will conclude in a two-hour special on a Saturday
afternoon in November, executive producer Dave Sirulnick said on Monday.

“We want to close this era of `TRL’ in a big celebratory way, and 10 is a great number,” Sirulnick said. “And
10 is the number that `TRL’ counted down every single day for 10 years,
and we hit this 10th (anniversary) and we thought, `You know what? This
feels like the right time and let’s celebrate
it and let’s reward it. And let’s let it have a little bit of a rest
for a minute.’ Let it catch its breath! Been working hard — for 10
years!” source

MTV’S "Total Request Live" will air its final episode Sunday and the show’s original host, Carson Daly, will be back for what he calls his "high school reunion."

"I didn’t actually go to my own high school reunion, but that’s what this ‘Total Finale Live’ is starting to feel like," Daly told the Daily News. "I’m nostalgic in a way that I would be if I heard some of the names of people that I went to high school with."

"Total Finale Live," a two-hour tribute to the long-running music video countdown show, will air at 8 p.m. and will include performances by Beyoncé, 50 Cent, the Backstreet Boys and Fall Out Boy. Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Travis Barker, Kid Rock and JC Chasez will also be on hand to talk about what the show has meant to their careers.

Daly suspects even more names will pop up at the last minute.

Daly can still recall his first day on the job, back in 1998, when it was just him and three camera guys making a dinky show about music videos.

"There was no audience, no Times Square, and no kids in the room," said Daly. "But it was just the perfect storm of pop culture and it snowballed from there."

Over the course of five years, Daly interviewed everyone from Madonna to Eminem to Britney Spears.

"It wasn’t a job, it was a lifestyle, so it’s hard to articulate how profound of a time that was for me and what it’s done for me since," Daly said. source

A new extended Notorious trailer was released. The longer version of the Notorious trailer kind of looks like a MAD TV skit. Rest in peace B.I.G. Look for performances from Derek Luke as Puff Daddy, Angela Bassett as Volleta Wallace and Anthony Mackie as Tupac Shakur. The film is scheduled ofr theatrical released in January 2009.

Diddy has released a new video blog about Sarah Palin. Diddy admits that Sarah Palin scares him in this dramatic re-enactment of "The Sixth Sense."  Do we see Oscars in Sean Diddy Combs’ future based on this performance?  P.Diddy created another video saying John McCain was "bugging the f**k out" by choosing Alaska hockey mon Sarah Palin as his running mate.

Rap mogul and entrerpreneur Sean "Diddy" Combs went on the record about John McCain’s choice of Sarah Palin as his Vice President. Our favorite Diddy quote from the clip is "John McCain is buggin’ the f*** out…Sarah Palin…Alaska…Are there even any Black people in Alaska?"

Don’t hate Cassie because she’s beautiful. The singer has been getting some harsh comments from people who accuse her of sleeping with her boss P Diddy. Diddy released a statement that he is not engaged to Bad Boy artist Cassie despite the rumors and a recent article in Star Magazine. 

Cassie denied rumors that they were even dating at DJ Cassidy’s
birthday party in the NYC, We are not together, but we are definitely
friends.” She also said, “We work hard together, so it makes a good
combo.” source

The singer, model and actress sat down with Complex magazine and revealed that she got her nipples pierced to prevent breast cancer. Huh?  Does this girl really believe that pierced nips help give you positive breast exam results? 

Here is an excerpt from the Complex article. Cassie talks about her vocal skills, Diddy, and her multi-racial ethnic background.

Did you work on your vocals?
Cassie: I’ve worked with lots of different vocal coaches, but my vocal producer brought something out of me that I didn’t really know that I had. She was just like, “Don’t be afraid to let your voice crack and let things happen.” When you make a mistake, it just opens up so many doors and I didn’t even realize that. I was so scared to make mistakes after my first time around. I didn’t even want to let people hear me hit a bad note in studio—and that’s where you’re supposed to make your mistakes and work through it. With her I got to work through the kinks, and I really figured out what I liked and what I didn’t like. I haven’t decided to belt things out, but I have decided to sing a little bit more and put a little more personality behind what I’m saying.

What’s the harshest thing that’s been said about you?
Cassie: “She’s f*cking for checks.” I don’t f*ck for checks—I’d rather live on the street.

But is your single “Official Girl” a marketing ploy to cash in on the rumor that you and Diddy are dating?
Cassie: Nope. It wasn’t planned. It was just a song I really loved that I heard. Nobody will ever know who “Official Girl” is about. They think it’s about certain people but it’s not. Anything that happens in my personal life is personal. I never actually put anything out there. Nobody’s really known who I’ve dated.

Have you seen any of the debates about your ethnicity online? It’s just like Dave Chappelle’s “Racial Draft” sketch.
Cassie: What’s funny about it is, when I was growing up, I wasn’t confused. I knew exactly what I was. My dad’s Filipino, my mom is Mexican, West Indian, and black—I’m a little melting pot. In school, you were either black or white. Being Asian really wasn’t anything until I got to high school and was modeling all the time, and it was important because it intrigued people. Black people definitely didn’t claim me before. They were like, “Light skin over there, she’s just not for us.” It’s all perception. The other day, I was at the drugstore and this girl in line was like, “She’s next, the white girl.” I’m not white. I’m not even close.

Was it super-painful when you got your nipples pierced?
Cassie: I don’t have any nipple piercings!

Um, yes you do.
Cassie: Can you really see them? It’s not like I was trying to hide them. I wear T-shirts, so you’re going to see them. I think it’s sexy. I’m proud of them. I wasn’t expecting that ! No, it’s not too painful. It stings when it happens. It’s a really strange feeling.

When did you get them?
Cassie: It was kind of for a reason: my mother is a two-time breast cancer survivor. They have gene-testing for that cancer gene, so I got tested. I got my piercings before I got my results, like positive energy. I’m sitting there with my parents, my mom’s sobbing after she finds out that I don’t have the gene, and I’m like, “Guess what, Mom and Dad, I got my nipples pierced!”

What did they say?
Cassie: They just laughed at me. But it was nerve-racking because I was like, “My mom’s going to kill me if I have this gene and I got these things.”

What do you think about piercings for sexual purposes? Pro? Anti?
Cassie: I’m not against them. Oh my God, I hope my Dad doesn’t read this. source

Sean "Diddy" Combs is giving marriage a chance.

The bachelor father of six is quietly telling close friends and family that he and singer Cassandra "Cassie" Ventura are heading to the chapel.

"He told everyone to keep it extremely quiet because he didn’t want it to get out, but you could tell he was excited," says a source. "Diddy said they hadn’t set a date yet, but he wanted his family to hear the news first."

Diddy revealed his engagement to the Connecticut native at his son Justin’s eighth-grade graduation ceremony in Riverdale, N.Y., on June 5. The hip-hop megastar met 17-years-younger Cassie after signing her up to his label, Bad Boy Records, in 2006.

Diddy ended his 10-year relationship with model Kim Porter last July. source
